GAME PLAY Click letters on the keyboard to reveal the hidden word (initially represented by a row of dots). Every error will be counted. The main objective is to complete each word with as few errors as possible. A secondary objective might be to try to maintain as low a score as possible for as many plays as possible. The score is just the average number of errors per played word, rounded down to a whole number. Lower scores are better, just like in golf. There is no winning or losing other than any goals you may set for yourself. The more plays you take, the less effect errors will have on your score, so changing your score in either direction becomes more difficult the more plays you take. When the game loads, you get a pack of 100 words picked randomly from the master list of words for the game. Once you have either skipped or played that many words, they will start repeating. You will get a fresh pack of words if you either reload the web page manually or if the page reloads as a consequence of your saving or recalling a Waypoint, or closing and re-opening your browser. (See the explanation of Waypoints in the Options section.) |
